Privacy Policy

How we handle the information you share with us, on this website and during an engagement.

Last updated: 22 September 2026

1. Who we are

The Registered Valuer (“we”, “us”) is a registered valuation practice operating from Bhive Workspace, HSR Silk Board, L-194, Venkatapura, Santhosapuram, Sector 6, HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560102, India. For any question about this policy or about information we hold, write to [email protected] or call +91 99290 89598.

2. What we collect

Through this website, we collect only what you choose to send us: your name, email address, telephone number, organisation, and the description of your requirement that you type into the enquiry form.

When you submit the enquiry form, the details you have typed are transmitted to a Google Form and recorded in a Google Sheet under our control, and a contact record is created in our address book so we can respond. Google LLC therefore acts as our processor for that submission and its servers may be located outside India. We do not ask for, and you should not send, confidential financial information through this form.

The value estimator on the tools page runs entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are never transmitted, logged or stored by us.

During an engagement, we receive substantially more: financial statements, projections, cap tables, agreements, board minutes and similar records. That information is governed by the engagement letter and the non-disclosure agreement signed before it is requested.

3. Why we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a scope and fee proposal.
  • To perform the valuation engagement you appoint us for.
  • To maintain the working papers and records that the Companies (Registered Valuers and Valuation) Rules 2017 and the ICAI Valuation Standards require us to retain.
  • To comply with a legal, regulatory or judicial obligation.

We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell, rent or trade it. Enquiry submissions are visible only to us.

4. Who we share it with

We do not disclose client information to third parties, with three exceptions:

  • At your instruction — for example, sending the report directly to your auditor, AD Bank or counsel.
  • Co-valuers — where a mandate requires a Registered Valuer in the land-and-building or plant-and-machinery class, the relevant information is shared with them under equivalent confidentiality obligations.
  • Where compelled by law — a direction from a court, tribunal, regulator or statutory authority, including IBBI in the exercise of its inspection powers.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted within 12 months. Engagement records and working papers are retained for the period prescribed under the Registered Valuers Rules and the applicable valuation standards — currently a minimum of three years from the date of the report, and longer where a matter is under assessment, audit or litigation.

6. How we protect it

Client data is held on access-controlled, encrypted storage. Working files are not shared over consumer messaging platforms. Draft and final reports are transmitted as password-protected documents where the engagement calls for it. Access is limited to personnel working on the engagement.

7. Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors arrived. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data, including your IP address and device and browser details, to Google. We use this data only in aggregate to improve the site, and we run no advertising trackers. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or use Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and Google may log the IP address associated with that request.

8. Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased where we are not required to retain it. Write to [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. Where a retention obligation prevents erasure, we will say so and explain the basis.

9. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes affecting an ongoing engagement will be notified to you directly.
